Shop to your heart's content at area boutiques and malls.
The destination offers an abundance of fabulous shopping both near the shore and just a short jaunt away from this secluded beach paradise.

Specialty Shops
Anna Maria Island is home to a quirky collection of shops selling everything from antiques to one-of-a-kind specialty items. Enjoy flip-flop friendly attire at the West Coast Surf Shop, rustic gems at Ginny's & Jane E's at the Old I.G.A., and some of the finer things in life along Bridge Street – from cigars and jewelry to gourmet coffee and chocolates. Main Street at Lakewood Ranch, just off of I-75 in Manatee County, offers more than 20 specialty boutiques filled with fashions, gifts and décor.

Outlet Stores
The nearby sleepy hamlet of Ellenton is home to Ellenton Premium Outlets, where fashion-conscious shoppers can roam more than 135 outlet stores for brand name products at discount prices. Those who love to forage through a hodgepodge of unique stands will be right at home in the Red Barn Flea Market, featured in the May 2007 issue of Southern Living, and one of Florida’s most popular flea markets with more than 650 booths selling, well, just about anything. Shoppers can indulge in a little breakfast or lunch at one of the many restaurants or pick out some of Florida’s farm fresh produce.

Art Galleries
Village of the Arts, an artists’ community in Bradenton, features more than 40 homes and bungalows that have been refurbished into colorful art galleries and studios, where artists live and sell their work. Take a sneak peek the first weekend of every month with their ArtWalk – a celebration of food, music, outdoor exhibits, and guided tours. Artists open their doors to visitors from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
