Hidden Florida is Top Destination
Anna Maria Island in Bradenton and Siesta Key in Sarasota, on the west coast of Florida, have been voted among the top US destinations for 2007.

TripAdvisor.com, the largest travel community in the world, have just announced the results of its annual travel trends survey which included the opinions of nearly 4,000 global travellers.

The Top Ten Hot US destinations have been revealed and Anna Maria Island in Bradenton was voted the Top HotSpot for 2007. With Siesta Key in Sarasota in third place, 2007 is set to be an exciting year for Florida’s Gulf Islands.

Anna Maria Island is a perfect retreat for those that truly want to get away from it all and discover the charm of old Florida. The Island stretches seven and a half miles along the Gulf of Mexico, offering white sand beaches and a distinctive style and ambience.

Siesta Key in Sarasota is a barrier island eight miles long with the “finest, whitest sand beach in the world”. There are a range of activities to suit every taste, from shopping at Siesta Village to parasailing or just enjoying the views from the beach.

The region, located on the West Coast of Florida, between Tampa and Fort Myers is synonymous with beautiful, white sand beaches, outstanding restaurants, wildlife and a string of unspoilt natural islands, comprising what many refer to as ‘hidden Florida’.
