Read what Janet Keeler of the St. Petersburg Times recently wrote about us.
Anna Maria Island and its white sand beaches are barely an hour from southern Pinellas County, but they seem so much farther in both attitude and appearance. The condo canyons common at the Florida shore haven’t developed here. The view is not cluttered with the beach bars and souvenir shacks that crowd so many Florida beach towns. (At least if you keep to the city of Anna Maria and Holmes Beach. Bradenton Beach has more action.) It’s quiet, especially after the sun makes its fiery exit beyond the horizon.
