Tips to Art-Filled Fun

  • Choose a destination known for the arts like Florida’s Gulf Islands. We’re proud to have the largest artists-in-residence community on Florida’s Gulf Coast, the Village of the Arts. We also have a host of galleries on Anna Maria Island as well as here in Bradenton at Art Center Manatee that host exhibitions for local, regional and national talents.


  • If you’re traveling with children, make sure to include an art class while you’re away. Whether you bring your own supplies and do arts & crafts on the beach or sign up for a class from a local artist to experience a new craft, it keeps their creative juices flowing.


  • Pack up the family and attend an arts event, festival or celebration. Village of the Arts hosts their ArtWalk, the first weekend of every month.

  • Make sure to leave with a take away souvenir. We offer several items including jewelry, pottery, prints, yard arts, cards and kids art games at the Artists’ Market at Art Center Manatee
