Hunsader Farms in East Bradenton hosts the popular Pumpkin Festival every fall. The fun-filled event, which marks the beginning of the Halloween celebrations, takes place over two weekends in October.
Among the festival’s activities: more than 150 crafts booths, live country music, pony and hay rides, scarecrow displays, a circus tent, charity pumpkin games and much more.
If you’re up for a laugh, head to the comedy show. For those who like something a little more extreme, make sure you don’t miss the freestyle Moto-X Stunt Show or the BMX Stunt Show, where performers amaze spectators with their high-flying jumps and mid-air stunts. Chainsaw artists show off their particular version of artwork, or head to the corn maze for a fun family challenge.
The farm is a family-run establishment that produces homemade cider and has its very own petting farm. It also cultivates its own vegetables, with pumpkins being a particular specialty.
