From a distance, humans would look like ants, mindlessly scurrying about along established trails, stopping at red lights, moving forward at green lights and accelerating really fast for a short distance at yellow lights. "What a lot of mindless, soulless life-forms these creatures are!" the visitor would reason. Without a space microscope, the outer space visitor would completely miss the subtleties of communication and other intelligent interactions among humans that occur everywhere all the time.
