For the "shopping-istas" out there, there’s plenty of spending to be done on Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key, and in the mainland areas of Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch. Grab a cup of coffee and start your stroll.

Day 1:
The Ellenton Premium Outlets are a must-do for shoppers. It features 130 designer and name-brand outlet stores, including Saks OFF 5th, COACH Factory, Banana Republic, Cole Haan and many more.

For lunch, stay in Ellenton and eat like a local at Woody’s River Roo. It’s located a bit off the hidden path, but as you’re leaving the outlets just drive straight through the light at U.S. 301 and you’ll find it. It always has great music, and you can’t beat the view.

Main Street at Lakewood Ranch should be your next stop. This outdoor venue offers more than 30 stylish boutiques and several international restaurants to tempt your taste buds for lunch or dinner, including Polo Grill & Bar, a locavore restaurant using local, sustainable and organic foods in all their dishes.

After dinner, catch a mainstream or indie flick at Lakewood Ranch Cinemas.

Day 2:
Spend day two near the beach and hit the shops on Historic Bridge Street. This newly restored quaint street is beautifully landscaped with charming shops, restaurants, bars and accommodations. It’s become a hot spot for visitors and residents alike. While there, stop by the Historic Bridge Street Pier located on the east end of the street.

If you’re visiting from November to April, check out the Bridge Street Market. The outdoor market offers local artwork, crafts, produce, gifts, souvenirs, live music and more.

Enjoy lunch at the Bridge Tender Inn or at the Island Creperie.

Next stop – the Pine Avenue shops on Anna Maria Island. There you’ll find several new boutiques featuring jewelry, apparel, accessories, furniture, artwork, olive oil and home decor.

Ready for a break? Rest your legs and your pocketbook on the Anna Maria Island Trolley. The trolley travels the entire island, from Coquina Beach at the south all the way to the public pier on the north side of Anna Maria. The best part? The trolley is free, and service arrives about every 30 minutes at the many designated stops on the island.

End your day of shopping and experience one of our magnificent sunsets at the Rod & Reel Pier Restaurant, the City Pier Restaurant, the Waterfront Restaurant or the Beachhouse.

Day 3:
Plan to spend your entire day at the Red Barn Flea Market in Bradenton. It's one of Florida's most popular and progressive flea markets, with over 80,000 square feet of air-conditioned shopping. You’ll find a variety of new and used merchandise in more than 600 booths. Plus, there’s plenty of parking.

Wrap up your day and stay for dinner at SOMA Diner or head to Old Main Street and enjoy the newly opened OMG (Old Main Grill) or The Grill at O’Bricks.
