Family-owned and -operated, the 3,000-plus-square-foot winery was started by Rosa and her husband Antonio after relocating from Sicily. Since its inception, the winery has evolved from a backyard operation to a 10-acre vineyard. Green or red bunch grapes are ripe on the vines in late June, and early August to September brings the bronze or black muscadine grapes.
Award-winning wines
The winery has received 25 awards in the past nine years, and offers free wine tastings all day every day. Enjoy a snack, learn about the wine-making process and how to pair wine with food. Tours and wine tastings
Wine enthusiasts can also enjoy a variety of different tours, including a Luncheon Tour, an Italian Buffet tour, a Cheese and Cracker tour among others. All tours include a wine tasting and a souvenir glass. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily at the pavilion, which can also be rented for parties and events.Open for visitors
The winery is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. It’s closed on Tuesdays. The winery is also closed from October 7-14, as well as the following holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, New Years Day, Labor Day and Christmas Day. Hours for New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
