"Wedding Capital of Florida" – it’s a name affectionately bestowed on Anna Maria Island, a beach community that embraces its title by hosting the Anna Maria Island Wedding Festival the last weekend in February every year.
  
This annual festival brings together more than 70 wedding professionals from the area in a fun two-day event. Lots of activities, information and more than $10,000 in prizes makes this an event you can't miss. The “strolling” nature of this event gives couples the chance to meet vendors in their island element.
